Why buy this tracker and not the UBEE CAT?
For this tracker we have removed the microphone and speaker, making it cheaper. So…
- You can’t use any of the voice functions (if you want to use it as a general purpose tracker)
- You can’t use the “watchfinder” function on the app. So you can’t make it beep if it has fallen off
- You won’t get the start-up / reboot beeps
- There is no chrome casing

Ordered the tracker and was amazed with the fast delivery. It arrived after 1 day and came straight through my letterbox – the eco friendly packaging was an added bonus. I was pretty impressed with the location accuracy, although it did sometimes go a bit strange when the battery was low. As long as I keep an eye on the battery and charge it up every few days then it works great.

Quick to arrive, easy to set up and GPS is pretty accurate. My cat also seems completely unbothered by it to my surprise. Highly recommend 🙂

I bought this for my cat when we moved houses as I was worried he would get lost in a new neighbourhood. I had seen a few comments about the size which concerned me, but other than that it looked to be the best and cheapest tracker in the UK so I decided to give it a whirl.
The size is actually not too big at all (about the size of a car key fob) and is extremely lightweight.
Whilst the App looks a little bit basic, it is easy to use and functions well.
I particularly like the Geo-Fence option, as I now get notified whenever he leaves our safe zone and I know to check up on him.
I also love that the App can be shared with my husband and kids, so we can all keep an eye out for him (I’m sure this will be even more useful when we can go away for the night).
Finally, the customer support team are amazing! I had a question and their help team were quick (less than a few hours!!!) to respond. As someone who works in customer service, I am aware that sometimes it can take days or even weeks to respond to queries, but my customer service rep Sam responded promptly and was very helpful.

I couldn’t decide whether to buy this one or the more expensive tracker but in the end decided to go with this one. I’ve tried a few trackers but the fact that the customer care team answered my questions swung it for me. It’s a good tracker – as usual a compromise between size and battery life. It’s the smallest i’ve seen so battery life of 2-3 days is a reasonable trade-off imo. The subscriptions are also cheaper than elsewhere. And little Frank, my cat. is completely unfussed.

I like this little tracker. It’s great value for money. I used to use Tractive but they really annoyed me when my last cat died and they wouldn’t refund the subscription. I bought this for my new cat and it does everything I need. If I bought again I would probably get the slightly more expensive one with the speaker as it has the noise finder (so you can make the tracker ring). Sometimes in the dark I know my cat’s close but just can’t see where. btw this company is much more friendly about cancelling subscriptions.

I never normally write reviews but the Ubeequee Lynx is worth it. I ordered this tracker when we started letting my cat outside again after a car accident and it really settled my mind. You need to toggle the LBS option to “off” and then it uses GPS instead, which gives a very accurate projection of where the tracker is. When GPS is being used, I have been able to find my cat every time. It isn’t too bulky and is very light, and fits on his collar fine. It took him a few days to get used to it being on his collar, but since then he has been completely fine. I did put a stitch in the collar though because I found that the weight of the tracker was making it loosen a little. Regardless, this product is well worth the money and has given me so much peace when letting him outside. And it kind of looks like a cute little bow tie.

Our 1yo moggy was going missing for upto 8 hours. We was convinced he was being fed by a neighbour or napping in their house. Turns out he was having a ball on the overground field, farm and canal. However after 1 week of use he came home without it and we can’t get to it. Ah well, it was worth it to know his hang-out area. Not very accurate, would occasionally find him in China or a mile up the road, however we got the gist of his movements.

The instructions could be better, but can be understood after a little study, and customer help is very good and respond quickly. Accurate to within 5 meters on GPS. Not so accurate on WI FI. I use a radio tracker for pinpoint finding when within range of a few meters. This has helped recover a device which had been jettisoned by my tomcat. He decided that having a tag “like a criminal” was not good for his street cred.

Got this directly from their website rather than Amazon so here goes.
First the unit is small, not tiny engraved name tag small but very small for a pet tracker with GPS and cellular. My cat (8 months, not particularly big) doesn’t mind wearing it.
For those so say it doesn’t work, giving location that your cat is half a mile down the road when the cat is sat next to them in the house… doh! Best you Google gps and understand how it works. Generally I’ve had no problem, indoors it seems to use Google’s WiFi database (they have a database of all of the WiFi networks on the planet and their locations) so they know mine is at my address and therefore if the unit can see my WiFi it assumes it’s at my address. The database isn’t perfect and if you don’t have WiFi it doesn’t work (see LBS)
Generally outs location is ok, normally with 10m if where the cat is but sometimes goes get confused and thinks the cats 20-30m away. Not the end of the world. Just hit refresh.
Very occasionally it looses gps and goes to LBS location. This is little use as it takes the mobile cell tower location which could be half a mile away. Again, hitting refresh gets it back to gps. (The type of location uses is displayed on the map).
Battery life I find pretty good with the default 10min updates. If you put it in tracking mode with 1 min updates it’ll kill the battery x10 fast (doh!)
I normally leave it in default and hit the update button if I want to know where he is now. Takes about 5secs to update.
Customer support is outstanding.
For the money it’s very very good with all the features you’d expect. If you understand how the technology works and it’s limitations then you’ll see this is a very good device.

I bought this device for my daughter after her cat vanished without trace, thankfully returning a week later, looking very bedraggled and rather hungry! The unit fits on to the cat’s collar very securely and it isn’t so big that it bothers her in the slightest. It also seems well protected from the elements, has a good battery life – with an indicator in the app – and is accurate enough to give a very good indication of the cat’s whereabouts. I only wish she had this device before the cat went missing in the first place, saving us lots of worry and time delivering over 150 ‘missing cat’ leaflets! The monthly subscription for the integrated SIM card is more affordable than some other devices without committing to a lengthy contract that could well out-live the collar and the cat. Highly recommended if you need peace of mind..
