We bought this tracker for our cat who “disappears” for much of the day. We were worried that it was going to be too big but the device is very neat and extremely light. No complaints from our cat anyway. We can track his location at anytime and see where he’s been. The app has lots of functionality and you can control the device remotely, telling it to send its location more frequently for example. We thought that this was the best looking tracker and it certainly seems the best value – we checked the charges for alternatives and this one has no hidden costs. Excellent.

I have used a number of trackers in the last couple of years. They’re not perfect – if you don’t keep them powered up they can fall back on Location Based Services which aren’t as good. However if they are outside (gps doesn’t work too well inside) they are brilliant at finding your cat and seeing where they have been. The key selling points of the Ubee Cat is the price – which is very reasonable – the subcription charges (which are much lower than competitors) but mainly the fact they have a friendly and responsive customer care team based in the UK. These things aren’t for everyone – you have to learn how to optimise their performance – so don’t expect miracles. But with a little care you can expect results.

So pleased to have found this. Most other trackers are simply too big. I would have given this 5* if I hadn’t had to get a slightly thicker collar to make the tracker sit properly (my old collar was very thin and the tracker tended to ride up).

Easy to navigate around the app, easy to fit onto any collar my cats have. Very light and doesn’t disturb his day to day life. I now know where he goes.

I have been through a few cat trackers now (GPCats, Weenect, PawTrack and UBEE) and this one is definitely the best. The GPS locations are always accurate and update every 10 minutes on the dot. The on-demand location update is also very fast. You can turn off LBS which none of the other trackers let you do if you don’t want the less-accurate readings which I did straight away. It only takes around an hour to fully charge. The app is very easy to use and doesn’t feel cheaply made like some of the others did. The price is also very low compared to some of the other trackers. The only snag I have is that the D rings on the silicone case are a bit big for a cat collar so I bought some smaller ones on ebay and swapped them with no issues. If you are looking for a pet tracker this really is the best one out there. Keep up the good work UBEEQUEE!

I lost one of my cats for 4 days (she was in a neighbour’s shed), so I decided to invest in a tracker after days of searching and calling. I looked online, but many were simply too large for a cat. I had previously used a Lo8ate for both cats, but they simply didn’t work, as you needed to be in a direct line to the cat in order to find it. Upon locating the cat, the device would bleep, but you needed to be close to hear it.
This device is not minute, but is not too heavy for my small cat. The plastic collar was way too large for a cat, so I just use a normal cat collar. It holds a charge well, and easily lasts for 12 hours. When my cat is out, I check her very regularly, as does my husband (he has the App too) , so that probably uses up power. I have mine set to power saving mode for updates, which provides an update every hour, but you can set it for updates every minute. I just press “locate” when I want to know where she is, and it shows me. The battery probably lasts a whole lot longer than I have said, but my cat is not usually out for longer than 10 hours, apart from when she’s lost! After 10 hours of use, the battery would typically be on 82% in that mode.
I charge the device overnight, and then put it on the cat in the morning. It has a plastic cover, so probably shouldn’t get wet.
I live in Ireland and purchased a 6 month data coverage (without voice calls) and it has a little sim card inside when you buy it. The coverage is excellent, and so far it hasn’t missed a beat. It even knows when she is in the house, even though I didn’t expect it to.
You can view the maps in standard map view or satellite view (or bus map view!) and since we live in the country, I use the satellite view mostly.
The device is easy to set up, but if you have any questions, customer support is very helpful.
I am very happy with the device, but it is a bit scary to see where my cat goes, as she darts all over the place. Still, I’d rather know than not know.
I think the device is very competitively priced and represents value for money. You can get a small discount if you subscribe to newsletters.

Small enough to cause our cat no problems, and with a good battery life, the only slight difficulty is (in common with a lot of GPS) it sometimes glitches out and gives a false signal. This is usually pretty obvious and you can request an update from the tracker to try to get an accurate position.
Our cat has lost his a couple of times (of course collars are supposed to come off when necessary and this is no fault of the tracker) but it’s been pretty easy to find again since you know where it is roughly – a brightly coloured collar can help with this.
We are happy to have a better idea of where our cat gets to when he’s out and about anyway, so pleased with the purchase.

Love this! Works really well and lets me find my cat when I want him in for the night. Could be smaller but my cats a big Tom Cat so manages well with it. Battery lasts about 3 days for my level of use. The only negative is that for some reason it keeps registering my cat at two addresses near by but I know he’s definitely not there and if I refresh it updates with the right address. I suspect maybe some sort of interference. I now know these two addresses and ignore them! I will be getting another one for my other cat. 😊
Things for development would be:
A better collar as it’s too big for my cat and he’s a big boy!
Longer battery life
Sorting out the interference issue

My 3* rating reflects that the device could be improved….but in its current form is it great for what it does and is well worth buying. The cat in the picture must be huge! The device on a normal cat appears much bigger. The “small” collar is far too big and heavy for a normal cat (our tried to get it off immediately, but accepted the device on her normal collar). GPS accuracy is much lower than my cheap Polar running watch (I would guess no better that 10m). If set to 1 minute tracking it does not record these measurements so “replay” only gives basic locations (10 min?). Don’t forget to switch it off when not being worn as the battery will be flat when next used!
However, at the end of the day our cat doesn’t mind it and my wife is happy to know roughly where the cat is. next step is to train the cat to come home when the locator ringer is activated!! Probably easier with a dog!!

Thought the tracker was going to be too big but once on my kitten got used to it very quick. Easy to set up and subscribe. I have found that I need to press the locate button a few times to get an accurate reading but once the location is found it is spot on. Found my kitten up the tree it indicated. Only down side is the battery life, needs charging every couple of days but doesn’t take too long. This has been a great purchase for peace of mind when we go away in our caravan as our kitty can come with us and not get lost

I looked at many pet tracker review articles and interestingly none of them had tested this one, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it existed. I bought the Ubeequee for my cat, as it was smaller than any other similar product in the UK – the purchase price and subscription are value for money too. The app is easy to use and the tracker itself, although a teeny bit bulky for a cat, does not bother my cat at all. I found the D-ring fittings too large, so replaced them for a couple of smaller ones. I ordered a collar, but didn’t end up using it as I didn’t realise it didn’t have a safety release catch which I prefer. I charge up the tracker when my cat comes in for a snooze, so it’s ready for his next trip outside. Overall, I’m very pleased with it.

Accurate and precise tracker. It’s been very interesting to learn where my cat goes but in retrospect I’d rather I didn’t know! He takes too many risks as far as this over-bearing cat dad is concerned. Had quite a lot of fun to begin with – finding him in the middle of the night mooching about someone’s front yard. Gave him a big surprise that’s for sure. I’ve come to the realisation however that perhaps it’s best not to interfere with nature too much and basically – I’m never going to be able to control his whereabouts! It’s a great device and the app is user friendly and pretty accurate – even off road but my cat kept taking the collar off and eventually I’ve had to give up with it. Would recommend to those who are curious about where your cat goes in the short-term but if your cat is anything like mine – it’s an anxiety provoking gadget

great tracker. Very accurate and easy to use.

The first night my cat went out he came home without the tracker which unfortunately I was unable to locate. I contacted customer services and wow they were helpful, prompt in response, and helped me set up another device. I would give the team 5 stars!
I am happy with the tracker and now I have a smaller collar it has stayed on. I don’t think it keeps its charge very long though which is a shame. However, its definitely the best value one on the market and has given me great piece of mind which is why I wanted one.

We have just moved house so were worried about our cat getting lost as it’s a completely new area. This tracker has been brilliant and kept our worries at bay as we can locate her quickly when we want to check up on her. Also love that we get notified when she leaves our house as sometimes its hard to tell (she loves to sleep in all sorts of obscure places).
HS (verified owner) –
Good size tracker and fits well on my cat who has a slim neck due to his breed. The tracker works well and has useful settings to enable to you either track regularly or intermitantly. He (my cat) did not mind wearing the tracker at all and easily came though the cat flap wearing it. Good value for money given the cost of other trackers on the market.
Nick L –
I was a bit unsure about whether this would work as my cat had never worn a collar before this, but he doesn’t seem at all bothered by it and we havent had any issues with the tracker or app itself either. We have even trained our to come back when we press ‘watch finder’ which makes the tracker make a noise which has been great as it means we can make sure hes home when we go to sleep.
Sue McGuinness –
The best for any anxious cat mums and dads! Decently priced, good customer support and easy to use – no complaints.
Raheema V –
Not usually someone to write reviews, but this has really blown me away. I was expecting it to be a bit too techy for me, but because of the price and 7 day subscription trial I thought I’d give it a go. So pleasantly surprised with both the product and the support the company provides. Its really easy to set the tracker up and use. I have since bought another one for my second cat! I had seen a review or two about the battery life not being brilliant, but it seems to last me between 2-3 days fine which I am more than happy with, especially as it only takes a few hours to be fully charged up again.
Ozzie –
Overall this is a great product. The app is easy to navigate and I have had no trouble locating my cat. I particularly like how you can click on the map icon and it will take you to your maps, and show you how to get to the trackers location. An improvement I would love to see is a reflective strip on the tracker, so that it is easier to spot in the dark.
Sarah B –
Got this for Christmas and my cat has been wearing it every day since. I even ended up ordering a second tracker so that my cat can where one whilst the other is on charge! Big fan overall and highly recommend to any anxious pet owners!

I bought this tracker after my cat went missing for 11 days, and was about to spend potentially thousands on a pet rescue team. Now, I can see that the place he went missing is on his regular patrol route (he had gotten stuck in the gardens behind some tenements)!
The Ubeequee cat tracker itself if quite lightweight, and the rubber casing gives peace of mind that it is not uncomfortable for my cat. He is a small cat and the size of the tracker was a worry for me, but he doesn’t really seem to notice that it’s there!
I take the tracker off daily to charge so that I can use the 1 minute tracking, and based on my cat’s routines it can last up to 1.5 days with the most frequent tracking.
The app is quite basic at first glance, but it provides all the features you’d need. It is especially handy to be able to share my cat’s location with other family members so that they can keep an eye on him too.
So far I have had no issues with the tracker and I am so glad that I bought it!

I have a small 2.8kg 1y/o cat and it’s not too big! All other trackers seem to use huge cats for the photos that show you a nice small GPS unit but when you actually look at the measurements they’re huge! This one is so small and lightweight it’s perfect. Others also come up with Bluetooth as a GPS device – they’re NOT GPS at all and only track by line of sight to a few metres. If there’s no monthly subscription then it’s really unlikely to be a GPS. This uses a ‘any network’ SIM card and the monthly subscription on this is very low and for the peace if mind it gives it is so worth it. When inside it it can’t use GPS so it uses Wi-Fi to locate the tracker – where I live it places my cat just outside my neighbours house so if I’m unsure where she is and the tracker comes up in that position with Wi-Fi on the location tag, then I know she’s actually indoors. When outside it’s incredibly accurate and is tagged GPS. I looked for ages until I found this. I found it on Friday afternoon and ironically my cat went missing Friday night before I had chance to order it. She was wearing a Bluetooth tag and all it told me was that she was last seen by my phone 2 hours ago! It was for 41 hours until I eventually found her and even then the Bluetooth “tracker” didn’t help or acknowledge she was sat next to me for another 50 mins! Now I have no worries of that happening again. It was a horrid 41 hours spanned over 2 nights of no sleep worrying. The App is generic to all their gps products but it’s free and it works. I can even see where she’s been and work out her favourite haunts – she’s two timing me by the looks of things – lol.

I was sceptical about fitting a gps tracker to our small cat but this works really well and is well tolerated. Its also pretty accurate and I have been amazed at where the cat goes. The shareable app works well although we had to make a couple if support requests as the instructions are a bit sparse. Pre and after sales support is very good. Overall a great purchase which I would recommend.

I bought the Ubeequee cat tracker following a house move and wanted peace of mind when I finally allowed my cat outside. After a week of use I have to say I’m impressed. At it’s best, the app can locate the tracker with near pinpoint accuracy (it advertises with between 10-20m). I let my cat out the other day and half an hour later checked the app to see where he was. The app showed he was at the back of my house and sure enough, when I looked out the back door, there he was waiting to be let in. I should point out that on the map this wasn’t 10-20m from the back of my house, it was literally on the boundary of the back of the house which was incredibly accurate.
This evening I let him out for the first time after sundown and again, after half an hour, I checked the app to see where he was. He’d made it up the road to one of the side streets and the app showed he was in the back garden of one of the houses. I watched the app for another half an hour but the tracker didn’t move, and starting to get nervous I walked up the street and called for him. No sign, and the tracker wasn’t moving, but after calling out for him for a couple of minutes I gave up and went back home. As I made it back to the front door I checked the app and the tracker was on the move again, getting closer to me. I stepped back onto the street and there he was, hurrying along down the path.
The lesson to learn here is to trust both the tracker and your pet, but if he were to stray too far I have no doubt that as long as the tracker is on him I would be able to find him. I would recommend to anyone using the app that after the initial curiosity of where your animal goes wears off just leave them to it as you can stress yourself out staring at the app worrying that they’ve gone too far. It has enlightened me to just how far he was probably wandering off at the last house.
Setup is easy. A full charge takes about an hour and the subscription to the mobile network for GPS tracking is £2.99 per month (paid upfront for two years). So overall, your cost for peace of mind is going to come in at somewhere around £110 for two years coverage. For me, that’s worth the punt.
The only downsides stopping this being a five star review is that the lanyard (read: collar) that was meant to be in the box wasn’t included in my package. Not a big deal because the tracker slips on fine to his existing collar, but the inventory for the box says it should have been there and for me it wasn’t. The other niggle I have is that after a charge the device can take a little while to lock down the location in the app and I can’t work out why. For the first 20 minutes I get a green pin on the map in the app that gives an approximate location (usually within 50-100m), but once the tracker locks down it’s location on the app it’s pretty faultless with the trackers location showing as a red pin.
Overall, a great product and worth the investment if you want peace of mind. I weighed up the cost versus how I’d feel if he did get lost and I couldn’t find him and realised I couldn’t justify not buying it. You also get a week subscription to the GPS for free to try out, which might be enough for some people if all you want to know is that your pet can find their way home. After a week you may not need the tracker, but it is reassuring to have. If you’re on the fence about the big upfront cost I’d recommend outlaying for the tracker and trying out the week free. You’ll know if it’s for you by then. Great product!

Really like this tracker, have now been using for over a year and its great. Lots of people seem to be having problems with the location accuracy – you must turn off the “set local base station” on the settings on the app when you purchase it otherwise will be inaccurate and may say your cat is somewhere they are that’s far away. Once you have done that it’s highly accurate and we can see where our cat is easily to within a meter.
The “watch finder” feature that causes the tracker to emit a jingle remotely is also a great feature for locating the tracker on the rare occasion our cat loses it or simply locating our cat in thick scrub when playing hard to get.
Customer service has been very helpful and responsive when had questions too. The only thing I don’t find works very well is the notifications that only pop up once I open the app. I charge it every other day to be sure it doesn’t run out of battery as just about lasts 3 days if on all the time. Our cat is about 5kg and doesnt bother him at all wearing it. Overall a great product at a reasonable price and wouldn’t be without it for peace of mind of knowing where our cat is.

We were interested to know where our cat typically goes and this did the job. This has a pre-activated mobile phone SIM incorporated so works after charging straight out of the box. I tested the accuracy by walking fairly locally in a loop (approx 100-200m radius). Checking with my wife we found that it wasn’t updating the position as the max rate, that it was set to, so she forced updates. The resulting trace was accurate to within a few meters.
When on the cat we did not know when to force any updates but the trace looks believable apart from a spurious point on almost every trace, as our cat can’t drive or break the 4 minute mile. At the end of the free 10 day subscription we can see he mainly visits some of the neighbouring gardens.
